Cold Laser Therapy

Cold laser therapy, also known as low-level laser therapy (LLLT) is a non-invasive medical treatment that uses low-intensity laser light to stimulate healing by reducing pain and inflammation in the body. Cold laser therapy operates at wavelengths that do not produce heat and therefore do not cause tissue damage.
During a cold laser therapy session, a handheld device emitting low-level laser light is applied directly to the area of the body being treated. The light penetrates the skin and is absorbed by cells within the tissue, where it stimulates cellular processes that promote healing and reduce inflammation. This can include increased production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), the energy currency of cells, as well as the release of endorphins, which are natural pain-relieving chemicals. Cold laser therapy is considered safe and painless, with minimal side effects.
Cold laser therapy is often used to treat a variety of musculoskeletal conditions including:
arthritis
tendonitis
bursitis
sprains/strains
wound healing
reduce scar tissue formation
nerve pain
Benefits of Cold Laser Therapy:
increase in local blood circulation
accelerates healing of damaged tissues
stimulates nerve generation
relief of minor muscle and joint aches, pains and stiffness
relaxation of muscles
relief of muscle spasms
relief of pain and stiffness associated with arthritis
wound healing
